On November 4 of this year, Eilís Coe, a Sister of Charity and AWI Affiliate, traveled to Rome where she spent six days with the European Religious Network Against Trafficking and Exploitation. From Albania to Ireland, Sisters and their collaborators engaged in the fight to end exploitation of vulnerable people through trafficking.

Eilís secured time during the conference to offer two 90-minute Amherst Writers & Artists writing groups.

Sisters and survivors of trafficking from a variety of European countries wrote together and agreed that the workshops were a wonderful gift for themselves, enabling them to tell their stories. Eilís hopes to continue this effort so that AWA’s transformative work reaches more and more people.
